Tawnya Sluka, R.N., B.S.N.
Tawnya has been in the medical field since 2005. Prior to getting into the medical field, she was in the United States Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman stationed in Norfolk, VA.
She first started her medical career as a Certified Medical Assistant working for a neurologist specializing in migraine headaches. She then moved to a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation clinic where they specialized in spine and musculoskeletal care.
While working as a Medical Assistant, Tawnya went to school at night and ultimately graduated nursing school with her Associate’s in Health Science and Associate’s of Applied Science in Nursing from Salt Lake Community College. Later, Tawnya pursued her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Utah.
She has worked as a Post Anesthesia Care Unit nurse, Home Health nurse, and most recently a Progressive Care and Medical-Surgical nurse. Tawnya remains dedicated to her nursing profession and continues to keep up on her nursing skills and education.
Tawnya loves to hike, camp, and do most anything outdoors, and most recently taken up climbing. She has two adolescent children of her own and understands the importance of teaching our youth good coping skills and keeping physically fit..
