Danielle Tanner, M.S.W., C.S.W.
Drug and Alcohol Therapist
Danielle began her career with adolescents in 2012 when she worked as a youth mentor in a residential treatment center. Her passion for working with youth and their families motivated her to pursue a career in mental health. She earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and then a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work at the University of Utah.
In 2015, Danielle joined the Vista team. She completed a clinical internship and went on to be a mental health worker and staff supervisor at Vista Counseling Services where she worked with young adults in a community-based outpatient setting. An important focus for many of these young adult clients was healthy living through substance abuse recovery.
Danielle is especially passionate about working with adolescents and shows a strong ability to build rapport with clients working through very challenging issues. She believes that the key to client success is teaching them tools to build healthy, meaningful connections. She has worked with individuals with a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, grief and loss, and trauma.
In her free time Danielle enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family.
